First Call Partners (FCP) is currently partnering with Adam Smith International to deliver the Lake Chad Basin Support Framework (LSF) on behalf of the UK Government. The LSF provides expertise and advisory support on stabilisation, defence and security issues to governments and international organisations in North East Nigeria and to neighbouring countries in the region (Cameroon, Chad and Niger).
The focus is on improving the capability of regional security and military actors (including the Nigerian military and the Multi-National Joint Task Force) to counter the threat of violent extremist groups, and work with police and civilian actors as part of coordinated stabilisation initiatives. Specific attention is being given to improving operational effectiveness in counter insurgency, civilian-military coordination and the human rights compliance of security forces. The aim of the LSF is to support the development of sustainable crisis prevention and crisis management capabilities for the LCB states and societies.
